 | Amy Carmichael said it best when she wrote these words:
If I say, "Yes, I forgive, but I cannot forget," as though the God, who twice a day washes all the sands on all the shores of all the world, could not wash such memories from my mind, then I know nothing of Calvary love.¹
So much for forgiving. We now need to think about forgetting.

 | I hope to begin posting daily PRAY-ers here? |
 | What if the missing ingredient for changing the world is teamwork? "When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I'll be there" (Matt. 18:19-20 MSG). |

But you didn't want someone ELSE to die to save your husband? So, to confirm his complete healing you asked God for the IMPOSSIBLE? You asked that it snow for the first time ever on Christmas in your Mexican border community? To...ni and David's story, told here for the first time, is one you'll want to share: http://www.whengodwinks.com/wow/wow_12232009.php |
 | The moon was a spotlight in the sky the other night, casting shadows on our backyard. Throughout the summer while on daylight savings time, my boys go to bed early and rarely get to see a nighttime sky. So when I saw the huge full moon, I told myself that I would take them out on the following night to show them the moon. So as night fell, I made a big to-do about going out to see the moon. However, the moon was still too low on the horizon to see above the hills and trees, so I packed them in the car and we drove until we could get a good clear view of it. My nearly-two-old was saying, "Muh, muh, muh" over and over. The conversation with my six-year-old was just a little bit deeper. I asked him why the moon was so bright. We talked about how the moon got all its light from the sun. If we didn't have the sun, the moon would be dark and invisible to us. Then I told him that this is how it should be with us too. "People," I told him, "don't generate our own light. On our own, we're dark. But when we allow God to shine through us, we are able to be a bright light to others." Then we went on to talk about LEGOs I think. This isn't just an elementary lesson for kindergardeners is it? It's important for you and me too. It's so easy to try to produce brightness on our own, to get people to notice us. Yet, the brightness others need to see is not our goodness, but the reflection of Christ's light shining through us. In the decisions and choices you're making this week, are you reflecting God's light to others...or just trying to get people to notice you? Until next week, Andy for LifeTime Guarantee |
