DENVER - Conservative Christian leaders have met to rally around John McCain's presidential bid.
Mathew Staver, a conservative Christian activist, convened a private meeting of about 90 conservative evangelical leaders Tuesday night in Denver.
Pastor and "Left Behind" author Tim LaHaye says they enthusiastically endorsed McCain's candidacy.
Staver says they talked about "energizing their base" and targeting efforts in states with ballot initiatives against homosexual marriage this fall such as Florida and California.
Asked whether it was opposition to Barack Obama or enthusiasm for McCain that motivated the group, Staver said: "Obama is a considerable threat to our values.
At the same time, Senator McCain recently has been reaching out to evangelicals and conservative voters that we represent."

Lookout for news today of most Christian conservatives supporting McCain. I just heard wind of a story that is to come out today. Even though he is not Conservative enough and would want Huckabee as V.P. they still will endorse McCain.

MUNDANE AND MIRACULOUS
Read Esther 2:1--7
Woven through the tapestry of this wonderful story we find at least three timeless lessons thus far. The first has to do with God's plan. The second has to do with God's purposes. And the third has to do with God's people.
ONE, God's plans are not hindered when the events of this world are carnal or secular. God is at work. He's moving. He's touching lives. He's shaping kingdoms. He's never surprised by what humanity may do. Just because actions or motives happen to be secular or carnal or unfair, it doesn't mean He's not present. Those involved may not be glorifying Him, but never doubt it, He's present. He's at work.
TWO, God's purposes are not frustrated by moral or marital failures. How do I know that? Because He is a God who applies grace to the long view of life. Wrong grieves Him, and serious consequences follow, but no amount of wrong frustrates His sovereign purposes! He is a God of great grace.
THREE, God's people are not excluded from high places because of handicap or hardship. Esther was a Jew exiled in a foreign land. She was an orphan. She was light-years removed from Persian nobility. Yet none of that kept God from exalting her to the position in which He wanted her.
God's hand is not so short that it cannot save, nor is His ear so heavy that He cannot hear. Whether you see Him or not, He is at work in your life this very moment. God specializes in turning the mundane into the meaningful. God not only moves in unusual ways, He also moves on uneventful days. He is just as involved in the mundane as He is in the miraculous.
He is a sovereign God at work amid the vast scenes of state and empires in our world. And we, even in the midst of our usual days, must remain pure and committed to the things of God and His work in our lives, even as we remain sensitive to His hand moving in carnal, secular, even drunken places. Only then can we bring to our broken world the hope it so desperately needs.

Guidelines To Pray!
"OUR" Father! Who is that? Who is it that creates in us a knowledge to know who He is? Your Dad? Your Priest or Minister? Who's I AM , makes all the difference, possessed to know who is Almighty, Eternal, a Father, Creator over all! "OUR" PRAY-ers list is personal and grows longer and gets weary, but "OUR" Father simply asks us To Pray as His Son, Jesus, taught us To Pray! All "OUR" needs are supplied in Him!
* To Hallow His name.
* His Rule is right.
* His will "BE" done.
* He gives us.
* He forgives us.
* He leads us.
* He delivers us.

Consumer Confidence Sinks to 16-year-plus Low.
“U.S. consumers are the gloomiest they've been since the tail end of the last prolonged recession. Inflation, sinking home values and soaring gas prices have pushed confidence to the lowest level since 1992.”
In spite of the cloud of gloom over most of civilization, 1992 investors began to realize that the world had become a better place. As a result, the longest economic boom in American history began. Christian missionaries also recognized the opportunity and began the greatest surge in evangelism since Christ. Missiologists were amazed! Since 1992 more people have given their lives to Christ than the sum of all those converted since the first century!
Job losses, floods, fires and other disasters seem to be multiplying in our days. Yes, times are rough. Yet, while these are hard times, God still is working all things for good. “Hard” times do not mean “bad” times. It just means we must apply faith, keep listening to God, and for heaven’s sake, not lose our joy. Times of darkness are actually when the leaders of tomorrow are being forged. If you see light while others see gloom, your faith will inspire others to follow you into the future. Francis Frangipane www.frangipane.org

THE SNEEZE
They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt. Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.
This class would NOT pray during the commencements ---- not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it. The principal and students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling.
They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.
The speeches were nice, but they were routine ..... until the final speech. It received a standing ovation!
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone.
He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!
The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said, "GOD BLESS YOU, each and every one of you!"
And he walked off stage.
The audience exploded into applause.
This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.
This is a true story.
It happened at the University of Maryland
Isn't this a wonderful story?
Pass it on to all your friends ......... and GOD BLESS YOU!
